The art of working iron and other materials into gates, railings, balconies and many other products is only one of the many skills of Graham Collier, blacksmith, ornamental ironworker and craftsman in metal.

Here in Cornwall his art has been rooted in the Celtic culture of the region for a thousand years or more. Cornish Gates continued this traditional craftsmanship and enhanced it using modern machinery to improve quality, and technology such as computer graphics to allow customers to envisage their finished order.

Due to ill health and staffing difficulties, Cornish Gates closed in January 2004 after fifteen years of trading. However, Graham has since recovered sufficiently to start a new business – Des-iron – offering the same products and services but on a smaller scale.
